DESCRIPTION:Centenary Urs Celebration for Hazrat Inayat Khan \nA Joint Celebration hosted by the Four UK Sufi Groups (Tariqas)* flowing from Murshid Inayat Khan\n \nIn 1910, Pir-O-Murshid Hazrat Inayat Khan travelled to the West under instruction to unite East and West through his music and Sufi message, founding the Sufi Order in London in 1914. He left this world on 5th February 1927 and his Urs (the name for a great Sufi’s ‘night of nuptials’ when they leave their earthly body and become married to the One) is celebrated each year. \nTo mark the centenary of Sufi Inayat Khan’s Urs, those UK Sufi groups that arose from Murshid Inayat Khan’s original Sufi Order, have come together in the spirit of love, harmony and beauty, to curate a weekend celebration that honours his life, teachings and practices, as well as the diversity and unity of the different lineages that have flowed from him.\nAll are welcome!\n \n\nProgramme (More details soon)\nBoth days will feature talks, meditations and practices, and opportunities to kindle the fire of harmony with friends old and new.\nSaturday 3 April 2027\n9.00 to 19.00 | To also include Dances of Universal Peace and Zikr\nSunday 4 April 2027\n9.00 to 5.30 | To also include Universal Worship Ceremony and Concert\n \n\nTickets\nThe price for the two-day event is £50, but we invite those who can afford it, and are moved to do so, to pay £75 in order to support bursaries for those on limited income. \nIf you are on limited income and wish to apply for a bursary, these will be allocated as we receive support. So please register, and we will contact you once a subsidised ticket becomes available.  You will only be charged once a ticket is allocated. \n\nStandard ticket (for the entire event): £50.00\nSupporter ticket (with bursary subsidy): £75.00\nApplication for a bursary: £25.00\n\nThe Celebration will take place at Colet House, 151 Talgarth Rd, London, W14 9DA.
